Tadian, Mountain Province – The Kayan Unity Development Organization (KUDO), in partnership with the Cordillera Disaster Response and Development Services Inc. (CorDisRDS), successfully conducted Bookkeeping Training II on August 16–17, 2025, at the Social Hall of Kayan East, Tadian.
The two-day training gathered mostly KUDO members, barangay officials of Kayan East, and students from Holy Rosary National High School. Its primary objective was to strengthen KUDO’s capacity in maintaining organized and reliable records, particularly for its dapilan and nursery projects.

CorDisRDS Mountain Province staff facilitated the activity, with support from APIT Montañosa staff, while CorDisRDS administrative staff served as resource persons for the sessions. Participants engaged in expectation setting at the start of the program, where many expressed their interest in gaining deeper knowledge and practical skills in simple bookkeeping that they could directly apply to their organizational records.
This training followed an initial bookkeeping workshop previously conducted by CorDisRDS, which had limited attendance. At the request of KUDO members, the second round was organized to ensure broader participation.

Throughout the sessions, participants learned practical methods of financial recordkeeping, complemented by hands-on workshops. They appreciated the clear methodology and interactive approach of the facilitators, noting that they gained more confidence in handling financial matters.

Assessment results showed that participants recognized the importance of organized records and committed to applying their new skills to improve KUDO’s documentation and financial management.
By enhancing their bookkeeping capacity, KUDO members are now better equipped to sustain their projects and strengthen the accountability and transparency of their organization.
